When I was young my mom took me to a park and we watched my uncle's band play and I thought this was the coolest thing ever. Then I got to see them practice in my uncle's basement and I thought this looks like fun. At the age of 15, my dad gave me a bass, my brother a guitar and my other brother a set of drums. My cousin came down and introduced us to songs like "The Price", "Rock You Like A Hurricane" and "Living After Midnight". My older brother introduced us to hard rock with such bands as "AC/DC", "Black Sabbath", "Iron Maiden" and "The Plasmatics". Rock was a big part of my life as a teenager and I would listen for hours everyday. So my main influences are my brother for showing me real rock music, Geezer Butler (bass player for Black Sabbath) for showing me the bass doesn't have to hide behind the guitar and Les Claypool (Primus) for showing me the bass has no boundaries. I enjoy playing just to play.
Once I like something I keep it forever or as long as I can. I have been in love with the same woman for many years Been at the same job for 23 years because I like helping people. Even cars I had that broke down but couldn't afford to fix, paid for storage for as long as 5 years before letting them go. I still have letters, memorablia and old cassette tapes from high school that I still listen to. My main strength is persistence, I never give up until I accomplish my goal. I like animals, old Chevys, don't watch TV, but am always doing something. I am driven by the fact that you can never get yesterday back, so I do as I can sot that I don't waste anything in life.
Bandwise, I love the guys and the music we play which helps with my attitude that I will play anywhere, anytime because I just enjoy it so much.
